As the toll of the downturn economy takes deeper root, small nonprofits will have to struggle more to connect with their audiences and secure their positions in the marketplace. Join us for a lively morning workshop to gain insights on the finer points of nonprofit marketing on a shoestring budget. You will walk away with the knowledge you need to create an accurate and consistent message about your nonprofit and avoid common mistakes you can't afford to make.

Panelists are two marketing specialists and a small nonprofit representative, and they will address how to:

  • Fine-tune your nonprofit’s core messages and distinguish your nonprofit from other worthy causes
  • Build your network's awareness and understanding, and motivate the actions you need
  • Maximize your web site through online donation, events, and photo gallery features
  • Effectively integrate offline, online and social media strategies in the way that makes the greatest communications impact

To provide usable tips and show how marketing strategies are developed and implemented, part of the discussion will be be based on real life examples of a nonprofit's experiences.
